Don’t Let Your Dreams Stay Dreams: Make them Powerful

Hello all!

As long as dreams or revelations remain in your head or journal, then your dreams lack power. They lack power because it is only up to you to fuel and fulfill them.

I have something really important I want to talk with y’all about.  I want to talk about action: about what it is and what it isn’t. What does it mean to “take action?” How is the power of self-reflection limited?

Goal setting, developing dreams, and exploring different sides of yourself to discover your interests are all beneficial habits that can help you understand your own needs and wants better.  Yes, it’s great you realized you want to change professions or want to travel abroad. But remember — as long as they remain kept to yourself, they lack power. Again, it is up to you to fulfill them.

You have to share your dreams to make them powerful. Share with a family member, close friend, or mentor about what you want. Speech can give power to action. It’s one thing to think about what you want and another to say it.

After speaking what you want need in existence, you can receive

  • Support from others to accomplish your goal
  • Connections that will make it easier for you to achieve
  • Accountability from people who are counting on you to take initiative and make a change

Each time you share your dreams with others, be it via social media, phone conversations, emails, or other outlets, your dreams gain more power, momentum, and force. In effect, your dreams become more than dreams. They become promises of what the future will hold for you.
